I’ve named this collection of paintings, ‘Flawed’.

May 13, 2017

Busy with my new collection which will be exhibited for the the first time this Summer! Really pleased to announce I’ll be exhibiting work at the Emporium Gallery, Lichfield from the 1st -15th August 2017. Private View date to be announced…

I’ve named this collection of paintings, ‘Flawed’.

Flawed, I feel, represents where I am with my art at the moment.. I don’t think there is any such thing as perfection in art. Embracing that, making it your own and then running with it as you move forward is something which is definitely under my skin at the moment.

On the outside and at first glimpse, a lot of the paintings in this collection look well balanced and feign perfection. Within all of them there are imperfections. A subtle reminder that even things deemed beautiful are imperfect.

The first painting in this collection, Shifting Imperfections, was sold at Flux within hours of being exhibited. The interest shown, gave me incentive to expand this style of painting into an entire collection.

1st -15th August Emporium Gallery, 32-34 Bird Street, Lichfield WS13 6PR
