It’s been an incredibly challenging six months

Nov 19, 2019

It’s ironic that my art logo looks a bit like a Phoenix, because that’s how I feel at the moment. Losing my mum unexpectedly to cancer was something I wasn’t prepared for and gave us a little less than three weeks to say goodbye. Needless to say, everything got put to one side and it’s only recently that I’ve been able to go back into the studio. Her wishes were that I should continue painting and, ‘do what makes you happy’. That’s what I shall endeavour to do and continue to make her proud.

June and July also meant moving back to the Midlands, setting up a new studio and almost starting again. The new studio is bigger, brighter and I am now committed to a new collection entitled, ‘Convergence’. This collection sets out to combine styles and techniques to produce something limitless. It will also be the first collection where I challenge viewer. Not only will I present the box, I will demand that the viewer think outside it.

Needless to say the next few months will be interesting as this new collection takes shape.. Watch this space.
